Vivariums

A vivarium is a controlled and safe area for experimentation with live animals. They are rooms that must guarantee, on the one hand, that the animal does not suffer and enjoy adequate living conditions and, on the other, the necessary security measures and the comfort of the staff when working.

When designing an animal facility, factors such as the size and type of species to be worked with, the
different levels of biosecurity or the requirements in accesses and equipment.

As in strictly human-use controlled rooms, the design and equipment requirements are stricter the higher the level of biological safety required.

The animal facilities are equipped with HVAC air systems, which guarantee the appropriate values of ambient temperature and humidity, the critical parameters for containment, differential pressures and air filtration.
